'Safeguarding The Future of Farming' scoops Event of the Year Award

Safeguarding The Future Of Farming – which took place in April of this year in association with FBD Insurance and the Health and Safety Authority, and was organised by Full House Events – has taken the title of 'Event of the Year' in the Business Media category at the Magazines Ireland Awards.

Full House Events is a division of IFP Media, which publishes a range of award-winning titles, including Irish Farmers Monthly, Veterinary Ireland Journal and Irishfood Magazine.

The Safeguarding The Future Of Farming event was divided into two elements – a conference in the morning and demonstrations in the afternoon. Speakers included Mairead McGuinness MEP and Minister of State Andrew Doyle T.D. It attracted 120 attendees, including industry leaders, influencers, government officials and farmers, who were all hosted at the Cliff at Lyons venue.

Commenting on the win the judges noted: "In a short timeframe, the organisers pulled together all the key stakeholders to deliver a timely public awareness and information event that would save lives. An excellent example of corporate social responsibility which achieved #1 trending status on Twitter."

IFP Media also took an award for the Veterinary Ireland Journal, which it publishes for Veterinary Ireland. The magazine took the award for Business Magazine of the Year.
