The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Simon Coveney, has announced that a letter of comfort has now been received in relation to Ireland's Rural Development Programme (RDP) 2014-2020.

The Paddy O'Keeffe Innovation Centre has been praised as a fitting tribute to a 'legend of Irish agriculture' who dedicated his life to improving the sector.
The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has set a target to carry out 500 farm safety inspections during its annual Farm Safety Fortnight which takes place from April 13 – 27. The overall aim is to raise awareness and encourage farmers to be proactive in relation to safety, health and welfare.
