Cattle prices increase again – IFA

Irish Farmers' Association (IFA) national livestock chairman Angus Woods said cattle prices are continuing to drive forward, with higher base prices of €4.25/kg for steers and €4.35/kg for heifers being paid this week. He said demand remains very strong and, as supplies tighten, prices continue to increase.

Creed invites top Hong Kong chefs to Ireland

 Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Michael Creed, has met with some of Hong Kong’s top chefs at ‘East Meats West’, a high-end culinary event organised by Bord Bia to promote Irish and European grass-fed beef and lamb. The event is part of a three-year campaign co-funded by Bord Bia and the European Union.
