Award-winning farm is venue for Teagasc walk

Winners of the 2014 National Dairy Council (NDC) & Kerrygold Quality Milk Awards, the Dwan family from Co Tipperary, will host a farm walk, organised by Teagasc. The walk will take place on Thursday, April 23, as part of National Dairy Week.

Importance of nutrition knowledge highlighted at seminar

The importance of nutrition in sports and the positive influence that coaches can have in encouraging healthier food choices among their players, were highlighted at a nutrition seminar, organised and hosted by the National Dairy Council (NDC) and Leinster GAA, as part of the NDC Sport Programme.

NDC event promotes excellence in dairy

 

An event to promote excellence in the Irish dairy sector took place today (Friday, June 17) in Goleen, west Cork, hosted by the National Dairy Council (NDC). The event was followed by a Teagasc farm walk hosted by Kieran and Catherine O’Sullivan, 2015 national winners of the NDC & Kerrygold Quality Milk Awards.

Over 4,000 secondary students and teachers attended the inaugural HealthFest event in Citywest, organised by the National Dairy Council (NDC) and safefood. The event is the first of its kind for transition year students – a full-day seminar designed to educate them about the importance of healthy eating and physical activity in a practical, engaging and fun environment.
