Sustainability, AMR, calf nutrition on CAVI 2018 agenda


The annual conference of the Cattle Association of Veterinary Ireland (CAVI) took place in the Mullingar Park Hotel, Co. Westmeath, on October 12-14 with a packed conference programme covering a spectrum of subjects. Antimicrobial resistance (AMR), calf health, sustainability, herd expansion, animal health, calf health, nutrition and fertility were some of the topics that were covered by international speakers and a panel of Irish experts.

Vets' conference to highlight pug welfare concerns


Irish vets and vet nurses who specialise in the care of pets and companion animals will be highlighting welfare concerns about brachycephalic dogs – like pugs and bulldogs – at the Veterinary Ireland conference in Naas, Co Kildare on May 19-20, 2018.

VICAS conference technical programme – a feast for the senses


The Veterinary Ireland Companion Animal Society (VICAS) will hold its spring 2018 conference on March 2-3 at the Killashee Hotel in Naas, Co. Kildare. The conference, a gathering of vets and vet nurses involved in the care of pets and small animals, will be preceded by practical lab sessions at the Irish Equine Centre in Naas.
