Cormac Tagging – only female-led company shortlisted for Innovation Award

Cormac Tagging is the only female-led business among the 25 companies shortlisted for the Enterprise Ireland Agri Innovation Awards at this year’s National Ploughing Championships. Led by managing director Ursula Kelly, recently named the Image PwC Family Business Woman of the Year 2025, the company has been recognised for its breakthrough EID cattle leg band, a new wearable solution that delivers instant and accurate animal identification from the ground up. Rooted in its family business origins, Cormac Tagging has grown into one of Ireland’s leading agritech firms under Ursula’s leadership. She has built a company that blends tradition with innovation, while keeping farmers’ needs at the centre of every decision.
Speaking ahead of the Enterprise Ireland Innovation Awards, Ursula: “We’re proud to put women and innovation at the heart of our stand this year. The Ploughing has always been about tradition and community, but it’s also about looking to the future. Between our work with the FLIARA Project and our new EID cattle leg band, we’re showing what’s possible when you combine innovation, collaboration and strong female leadership in agriculture.” Alongside the Innovation Arena, Cormac Tagging’s main stand at this year’s National Ploughing Championships will host a series of events and live demonstrations:
