CAVI Sustainable Livestock Production: Meeting 2030 Targets

The CAVI Sustainable Livestock Production Conference will take place at
the Tullamore Court Hotel this Wednesday, January 18th.

The aim of the event is to explore the environmental impact of our agriculture and food industries and to examine how vets, while working with their clients, can positively impact and contribute towards a more sustainable agricultural sector into the future. A wide range of expert speakers, both Irish and International, will give a local and global perspective on the problems and the potential solutions facing us. The event is sponsored by MSD Animal Health Ireland and XL Vets Ireland. Speakers on the day include: Dr. Frank Mitloehner, Professor and air quality specialist in cooperative extension in the Department of Animal Science at UC Davis; Fergal Morris, MVB, General Manager, MSD Animal Health Ireland; Conor Geraghty, FarmGate Veterinary Group, Director XL Vets Ireland; John Murray, Director of Meat, Food & Beverage Sectors with Bord Bia; and Tom O’Dwyer, Head of Signpost Programme, Teagasc.
