Speaking ahead of the first meeting, IFA Ulster/north Leinster regional chair, Frank Brady said the meeting is a valuable opportunity for officers on the ground to get an update on current campaigns.
“It will also allow them to give feedback on the issues that matter to farmers. I would encourage as many farmers as possible to attend to participate in the discussion.”
Bord Bia will have a representative at the meeting in relation to plans to revise the current Quality Assurance Schemes that operate across all commodities, which is a very important issue for farmers.
“Those who attend will be able to put their view directly to Bord Bia. This will be very helpful in shaping whatever changes are planned,” he said.
