Avon Tuning HD returns to the Ploughing

After a successful National Ploughing Championships (the Ploughing) debut last year, Avon Tuning HD will attend once again this year – with a larger stand – to showcase its range of professional re-mapping solutions and to highlight the benefits of re-mapping to end users and potential new agents.

Agricultural engine re-mapping is a popular way for Irish farmers to increase work efficiencies of existing machinery, and Gareth Jones, director at Avon Tuning HD, says Irish farmers were early adopters of the technology.
“Ireland is a big market for Avon Tuning HD and we have a growing network of authorised agents who are regularly on farm with end users to increase power and torque for greater efficiencies. Last year was a great show for us and we benefitted from meeting customers and agents alike, in one place, and increasing our brand awareness in the industry.”
On show this year will be Avon Tuning HD’s range of re-mapping software, along with a fully kitted-out service van that demonstrates to prospective agents what is required to install re-maps on farm. Increased functionality from the re-mapping software now means that Tier 5 machines can be re-mapped, allowing agents to offer performance solutions for virtually any tractor on the market, via the OBD port. This offers farmers who have purchased newer tractors to safely increase work efficiencies.
Gareth explains why building relationships at the the Ploughing is crucial: “The show offers our growing number of end users the opportunity to meet the team who develop the maps and enables us to get any feedback on ways we can improve our service. Our agent network is growing quickly and we are always on the lookout for new agents to join and help farmers increase work efficiencies through professional remapping,” said Gareth.
