Good things come in threes at the HiSpec stand

Co. Carlow-based company, HiSpec will have three machines on display at this year’s National Ploughing Championships (the Ploughing): a trailer, a tanker, and a spreader.

First up, the 22ft K36 Kompactor. This ejector trailer allows compaction of the load during operation to ensure you can carry an additional 30 per cent volume over a conventional tipping trailer. The Kompactor allows the contractor to reduce the number of tippers and tractors in their fleet due to higher loading efficiency, according to HiSpec. The Kompactor range of trailers also ensures the safest unloading method on the market. The trailer can push the load out in under one minute and sizes range from 36-50m3. The 2300 SAR tanker and 7.5m trailing shoe will also be at the Ploughing. HiSpec has developed its own macerator fitted to the applicators, which ensures total control over tankers and low-emission spreaders. The trailing shoe features the best folding ends on the market where the two end arms fold parallel allowing a reduced transport height

below the level of the tanker, according to HiSpec. The trailing shoes comes in sizes from 6-10m, while the tanker sizes range from 800-5,000 gallons.
Last but not least, the 1250 Xcel rear discharge spreader will also be on the stand. The Xcel features a patented rear rotor, comprising of 22 Hardox heads fitted to HD marine chains. This rotor spins at 230rpm and breaks down the manure for precise spreading. The unique feature of this rotor is that the chains allow foreign objects to push through easier than a fixed rotor setup, according to HiSpec. The Xcel features two large rear discs (1,100mm) spinning at 520rpm which can propel the manure to 24m wide. The Xcel is ideal for chicken litter, compost, sludge waste and farm-yard manure.
