Aprons at the ready! The National Brown Bread Baking Competition, sponsored by Aldi, in association with the National Ploughing Association (NPA) and Irish Countrywomen’s Association (ICA), returns to the Ploughing again this year.

All finalists will compete in the live finals at the Ploughing from September 19-21 in Ratheniska, Co. Laois. One lucky baker will be crowned the winner and their brown bread will be stocked in 160 Aldi stores nationwide. Not only that, but they will receive a prize of €15,000. Last year, the lucky winner was Daragh O’Brien, whose delicious bread was available in Aldi stores all year.
