Agriquip to debut HeVa G-Drill at FTMTA show

The drill is designed primarily for sowing newly established grass fields as well as repairing existing grass fields.

The new HeVa G-Drill will make its official Irish debut at the Farm Tractor and Machinery Trade Association (FTMTA) Farm Machinery Show (November 17-19). The drill will be launched at the Agriquip (part of Murphy Machinery) stand.
The drill is designed primarily for sowing newly established grass fields as well as repairing existing grass fields, and it can also be used for sowing cereal crops. The machine is built with a working width of 3m, with later models offering widths of 4m, 5m and 6m, as well as hydraulic folding. The sowing element consists of 400mm disc coulters angled 13° relative to the driving direction, creating a furrow, for example 20mm deep, into which the seed is placed. The disc coulters have a serrated edge, ensuring rotation is even when sowing into old grass fields. Precise sowing depth is ensured by the machine being supported during operation by a packer roller. Various roller elements are available and can be selected according to sowing tasks and soil conditions. To ensure accurate sowing depth on very hard soil surfaces, HeVa offers, as optional equipment, a construction that increases the coulter pressure using the tractor’s lift arms. At the same time, it also offers optional spring-board levelling boards. To achieve a layer of loose soil on the surface for covering the seeds, we also recommend tine harrow sections with 12mm tines for mounting in front of or behind the disc coulters.
