New National Biodiversity Action Plan to be launched

A new National Biodiversity Action Plan will be launched on Thursday at the National Botanic Gardens by Minister of State for Heritage, Nature and Electoral Reform, Malcolm Noonan.

Actions For Nature is a collaborative plan setting out how Ireland will reverse biodiversity decline and loss up to 2030. Taking an ‘all-of-Government, all-of-society’ approach, the plan aims to meet urgent conservation and restoration objectives across Ireland’s terrestrial, marine and freshwater ecosystems and secure nature’s contributions to people, while enhancing the evidence base for action and strengthening Ireland’s contribution to international initiatives.
