Tirlán acquires three pharmacies in Carlow and Kilkenny

The pharmacies, located in Thomastown, Ballyhale and Borris, will join Tirlán’s healthcare portfolio, building on the success of its existing pharmacy in Campile, Co. Wexford, the co-op said in a statement. The purchases are funded through internal resources, the co-op said.
As part of the transaction, the three pharmacies will continue trading under the Kissane’s brand, with customers assured of uninterrupted service and the same familiar teams and standards of care. The newly acquired pharmacies are well-established, trusted businesses with deep roots in their local communities and strong working relationships with healthcare providers. Their addition to the Tirlán network will, according to the co-op, help ensure the continued delivery of accessible, high-quality healthcare services in smaller towns and villages.
Commenting on the announcement, Tirlán chief agri-officer, Ailish Byrne said that the acquisition will improve efficiencies across its pharmacy operations while creating a platform for sustainable future growth. Tirlán Agri currently operates 52 agri-retail branches across the south and east, including 15 CountryLife Home and garden lifestyle stores.
