Remembering Guild of Agri Journalists stalwart, Colm Cronin
Colm Cronin passed away peacefully on September 7.

Colm is pictured on the left with Damien O’Reilly and Larry Sheedy. This photo was taken in or around 2012, at the launch of a special publication to celebrate 50 years of the Guild of Agricultural Journalists.
Colm was a valued member of the Guild of Agricultural Journalists (Agri Guild) for over 40 years. He was secretary for seven of those years, but his Guild involvement continued for quite some time, and he was an integral member of the Agri Guild awards organising committee.
Colm was a former managing director of Pembroke Communications, where he was a consultant to many leading Irish and international companies. A proud Loughrea man, he attended Galway University where he studied sociology and politics. Colm was a quiet and lovely man, and he will be sadly missed by his many friends in the Guild of Agricultural Journalists. Our condolences to his wife Bernadette, daughter Kate, grandchildren, family and friends.
May he rest in peace.
