IAM Celebrates 40 years of Hardi sprayers

During the summer, Noel Dunne travelled to Newbridge in Co. Kildare where IAM Agricultural Machinery held an event to celebrate 40 years of partnership with Danish sprayer manufacturer, Hardi. The event took place on the grounds of Newbridge Greyhound Stadium in Co. Kildare, in association with well-known tillage farmers, the Sex family, who have land adjacent to the stadium. A wide range of sprayers – from 400 litres (L) with six metre (m) booms to 4,200L with 24m booms – were on display and, here, Noel selects the cream of that crop
One of the stars of the demo day was the Aeon Centura line sprayer. This is a is a high-tech sprayer that has full suspension and a remote-operated spraying system, as well as ComfortTrack wheel steering, which allows for a large steering angle of 27°, helping to secure a small turning radius of only 6.3m.
The Hardi Master is a popular sprayer among farmers and is available in 1,000L, 1,200L, and 1,800L tank capacities. Boom widths are available from 6m, 8m, and a 12m version is available on some models.
Hardi’s high-end range of mounted sprayers comes in the form of the Mega with tank sizes from 1,200L up to 2,200L with compact pro booms with working widths of 15m, 18m, 21m, 24m and 28m. The Mega can be operated in combination with a front tank option, which gives the sprayer more functions. The driver can switch tank operations from the cab allowing spray to be used from the front tank to the rear tank.
Pictured at the IAM-Hardi partnership anniversary event at Newbridge Greyhound Stadium were Hardi team members: JP Hearn, demonstrator; John Lawless, parts and service after-sales specialist; Pat Kenny, sales and business manager; and Martin Owens, sales area manager.
